After downloading and installing that, just update to the current most driver like normal. I wasn't going to settle for no sound when I game most of the time.ĮDIT: I also found that if you can't find the first Realtek driver for your laptop/computer, or don't know which one, the one from Realtek's site should do the same thing. Realtek now shows up in my "Sound, video, and game controllers". I started tinkering and before I did a Reset, I tried this and it worked. If this doesn't work for you, or anyone else, I apologize.

I completely deleted and uninstalled all the driver software and just started from scratch. No matter what I did, my laptop kept telling me that the "Device was not found", or "not installed". Go to your laptop manufacturer's site, and look for the Realtek driver downloads for your modelįind the first driver download they have for Realtek (as in, the first version that should've come with your laptop) Right-Click the driver, Uninstall it, and check the box that says "Delete Driver software" If your Realtek Driver shows up like this, and like me, you can't update or enable it: This is what worked for me, mind you, I have an HP Omen X: No devices were listed in Audio or "found".
My Realtek Audio Driver was listed as "Hidden" and I couldn't enable it, or update drivers, or anything really.
